About Whack A Mole

Test your reflexes and reclaim the arcade experience with Whack-A-Mole, a modern, browser-based take on the classic hammer-swinging cabinet game. Built with pure HTML5, CSS3, and vanilla JavaScript, this game delivers a buttery-smooth, highly responsive experience directly in your web browser—no downloads, no plugins, and no intrusive ads. Unlike basic, static versions of the game, this edition features a sleek glassmorphism interface with vibrant animations and satisfying micro-interactions. Moles pop up with a bouncy animation, and successful hits trigger a dynamic "💥" explosion effect, while missed clicks cause the hole to shake, providing instant, tactile visual feedback. The game is further elevated by a custom-built Web Audio API sound engine, generating crisp, retro-style synth tones for hits, misses, and game overs without requiring heavy external audio files. Challenge yourself across three distinct difficulty levels: Easy (more time, slower moles), Medium (balanced speed and duration), and Hard (lightning-fast moles with a strict time limit). You start with 3 lives; clicking an empty hole or letting a mole slip back underground costs you a life. The game ends when the timer runs out or you lose all your lives, rewarding you with a fun, skill-based rating. Designed with privacy and performance in mind, 100% of the game logic runs locally in your browser. Your gameplay is never tracked or transmitted. Fully responsive and touch-optimized, Whack-A-Mole is the perfect, lightweight reflex trainer for a quick break on your desktop, tablet, or smartphone.
